Presentation counts, and I have always had a particular "look" in mind for the proper presentation of my art work. After many false starts, I finally found the exact look I wanted at Metropolitan Picture Framing. The frames not only come in a convenient variety of sizes and styles, but display impeccable craftsmanship and finishes. I especially appreciate their attitude towards the visual arts in general and the artist in particular, where success is measured by the power of professional presentation, not just the bottom line. In addition, everything I have ever ordered from Metropolitan has arrived on time and in excellent condition. Metropolitan is the first one I recommend to my students and colleagues.

Statement about the Artist's Work
Part of this work shown here is the result of an extended trip to Mexico City and some surrounding towns in the spring of 1996 while on sabbatical. Part of it was completed in my studio since then. It continues the investigation of visual and visceral issues related to the intertwined themes of memory and landscape which I have labeled "Culture/Nature".
