Statement about the Artist/Artist's Work
Mr. Healey is a modern day colorist, a landscape painter, living and working in Portsmouth New Hampshire. His artistic influences range from the gentle poetic spirit of Milton Avery, to the spatial organization of Richard Diebenkorn. In the late 70’s, he began his art career while studying in Rome, Italy. He has been exhibiting his artwork for over twenty years. His exhibitions include Harvard University and the Art Institute of Chicago.
