is an adventure, partly planned but ultimately a mystery. In depicting
the land, rivers, skies and strong, honest farm buildings of the
Midwest, I seek to capture the beauty and the importance of the
typical. I've reached this point of view after exploring several
different directions. The nonobjective style of my early work has
evolved into a representational approach focusing on regional subject
matter. My goal is not simply to record visual information, but
to express a spiritual dimension as well.
