About the Artist's work
Oil paintings by Sydney Zentall present images drawn from childhood
experiences spent on the coast of California. Her work has been
exhibited nationally in galleries from California to New York to
Alaska. Unlike many traditional seascape painters, Sydney's work
is evocative and powerful. Her luminist images are gathered from
relinquished early mornings, evenings, and during storms, when the
wild, reflective, and soulful qualities of water are most vivid.
