"I
love Metropolitan frames. They complement my paintings, finish them,
and work as a whole unit. I can custom order the frames ahead of
time to help simplify my life before a show. They are always very
professional in every way. The frames always arrive on time and
it easy for me to put in my oil paintings and finish the project.
The paintings do not have to leave the studio and be out of my control
for weeks before the show. I recommend Metropolitan to my all my
artist friends. The frames look great on my paintings. Thanks, Metropolitan."
About the Artist Stephen Magsig lives in Ferndale, Michigan with his wife Janet
Hamrick who is also an artist. Besides Michigan he spends time and
paints in New York. For the last 15 years he has been painting contemporary
realist urban landscapes of New York and Detroit.
Statement about the Artist's Work
His paintings are realistic and not photo realistic. He is concerned
with the play of light and form being very aware of the paint quality.
He says, "There is beauty in everything around us if we only allow
ourselves to see. My challenge is to find that beauty and recreate
it on the two dimensional plane. These are portraits of buildings.
I love their patina of life."
