Lineco Archival corners are used to securely hold photos and artwork to the backing board under window mats without using any adhesive on the artwork. This corner size is best used with artwork that has at border of 1 1/4” or more.The corners can also be easily trimmed to a desired size. The corners are easy to attach to artwork or photographs and they also easy to remove if necessary. Aligning the exact position on the backing board so the mat covers the corners can take some practice. The corners are made of 100% crystal clear safe polypropylene and do not contain harmful PVC. Polypropylene is softer than polyester and is more pliable making it safer to use. The pressure sensitive, non-yellowing acrylic adhesive to hold the corners in place is acid-free and does not come in contact with the artwork.
This mounting corner has passed the Photographic Activity Test (PAT) which determines whether or not a storage material will cause fading or staining of photographs.
Uses: This corner size is best used with artwork that has a border of 1 1/4” or more. We highly recommend the use of these mounting corners for mounting photographs as there is no adhesive used directly on the photo and it can be easily removed. |
