Ultra Thin Gallery Frames FOR PHOTOS AND ART ON PAPER
Metropolitan's ultra thin gallery frames are designed with a 1/2" face and are valued for their very minimal look. Our ultra thin gallery frames require extra care and expertise. Because of their extreme thinness they require spline joining, strainers (on all but the smallest frames) and because of structural issues we limit the size of these frames to 10 linear feet. All gallery frames are available in all the Metropolitan woods and finishes. Our ultra thin frames can only be purchased in length or completely joined.

The 102UT ultra thin custom gallery frame was designed to accommodate a 1/2" spacer and 1/2" strainer. These ultra thin gallery frames are used both for artwork that is matted and artwork "floating" on a museum board. Because of their extreme thinness spline joining and strainers are required to add stability and strength to the artwork package. All our gallery frames are available in 5 woods and 30 finishes. The 110UT ultra thin custom frame is mostly used on matted presentations. These ultra thin gallery frames should only be used on very small pictures. Because they are not deep enough for a strainer special hanging devices are necessary. Spline joining is required. All our gallery frames are available in 5 woods and 30 finishes.
