I believe it is the job of a frame to neither enhance the work nor distract from it, but to separate it from the surrounding environment in a very subtle and non-imposing fashion. I want the frame to isolate the work and not get in the way of looking at the piece. I chose Metro Frames for that reason because they are beautiful and not imposing, they allow the work to stand on its own.
